Denial of heart attack symptoms can be deadly. Almost all persons suffering a heart attack will at first go into hopeful denial that it is not a heart attack. This is a common metal self-defence. However, time is critical, and it is far better to go to the hospital to find out that it was not a heart attack than it is to allow your heart to be irreversibly damaged and not get prompt treatment. Know the symptoms and act quickly and decisively for you or your loved one. Be Heart Smart!
