ACI/ACIst Monthly Academic night is the host to some of our nation’s prestige cardiologists sharing and discussing procedures and cases with ground breaking therapies. On the night of 28th April, we were pleased to have Dr Sasha Lalla; a senior clinical specialist in cardiology at the Heart and Lung Centre in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, make her presentation on the role of CMR in cardio oncology. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is able to assess cardiac structure, function, and provide myocardial tissue characterization, and hence can be used to address a variety of important clinical questions in the emerging field of cardio-oncology.
